MOTHER:
- Your baby’s movements become easier for you to feel. In fact, you may feel your baby move more frequently or with more regularity.
- If have heartburn try smaller, more frequent meals and avoid offending foods like chocolate, and acidic or spicy foods.
- You may be experiencing practice contractions, known as Braxton Hicks contractions.
- Many women tell you to really enjoy this month before the fatigue and symptoms of the third-trimester slip in.
- You may want to be aware of the symptoms of premature labor.
- You are probably thoroughly enjoying your pregnancy at this point.
BABY:
- Your baby’s skin is reddish in color, wrinkled, and veins are visible through the baby’s translucent skin. Baby’s finger and toe prints are visible.
- The eyelids begin to part and the eyes open.
- Baby responds to sounds by moving or increasing the pulse. You may notice jerking motions if baby hiccups.
- If born prematurely, your baby may survive after the 23rd week with intensive care.
- Fetus is 25 cm in length and weighs 223 gm.
