Week-36

MOTHER:

Congratulations on making it to the last month of your pregnancy. While your baby cannot read a calendar, you can. There is something to celebrate about reaching this milestone.

  • Typically your uterus will measure about forty centimeters from your pubic bone.
  • You may notice many contractions, as you prepare for labor.
  • Your breasts make their final preparations for breastfeeding, this may include leaking.

BABY:

  • Your baby continues to grow and mature: the lungs are nearly fully developed.
  • Your baby’s reflexes are coordinated so he or she can blink, close the eyes, turn the head, grasp firmly, and respond to sounds, light, and touch.
  • Baby is definitely ready to enter the world!
  • Fetus is 42 – 49 cm in length and weighs 1900 – 2700 gm
